Wesley's STCCG card of the day #149

Hi, folks,

here's a Dilemma to use against the rich kids (that's those with the Future Enterprise that still evades me):

RASCALS

Dilemma, Space, uncommon AU.
All unique crew members (maximum of 4, random selection) are kids. STRENGTH = 2 and Youth replaces first-listed skill. Cure with 2 MEDICAL and Biology.
"Passing through a molecular reversion field in a shuttle, Guinan, Ro Laren, Keiko O'Brien and Jean-Luc Picard reverted to children's bodies but retained adult knowledge."
Well, this card somewhat missed its goal. It was intended as a fix against the players with all the great Bridge crew. Now just look at what happens instead:

Player 1 has a starter and 6 boosters, thus 39 uncommons and rares. Assuming he plays Fed, he'll probably have around 6 unique personnel and he's gonna use them all in order to stand a chance. So he'll have four or less in an average away team and his best guys are all affected :-(

Player 2 is a rich one with a complete set of everything. In her 18 personnel cards she has 17 uniques (just Vekor cause she's great). She'll lose the use of one or two of her top five crew, but not four.

Net result: This card hurts the player with few options more than the really rich one.

Also, note the great effect of this card on Wes: Youth gets replaced by Youth!

Still, Rascals might offer great combo opportunities when used with Dilemmas that require Strength. El-Adrel creatures, Chalnoths, Rebel Encounters and Malfunctioning doors would be good choices, but they're all planets. Just where are the Space Dilemmas with Strength require- ments?

Best comparison: Tsiolkovsky infection. Similar effect, though more personnel affected and no Strength loss. Also, similar cure (though Rascals seems a bit easier if you can get Bev Crusher to remain unaffected). Almost equal game value. Average. Next.
