a beaming clone that is not a Dream Card:

Hey, he should have Youth skill. At seven years, he's probably the youngest Starfleet officer ever! :-)

First thing to do is let's compare him to the real thing. One less Strength (Why? He had to survive in a hostile environment!), no Diplomacy, no Honor (both somewhat understandable), but an added Geology (he needed THAT to survive!).

Seems to me the losses are a lot bigger than the gains. Rather use the real thing, he's much better. Unless of course...

a) you are not that rich and cannot shell out lotsa bucks for a Will Riker. In this case you might use a Tom instead. Problem is, he's not that much cheaper.

b) you need two Rikers. A Riker is a watered-down Picard, anyway... So if you need leaders for three teams, pick Tom for the third.
