Wesley's STCCG card of the day #130

Hi, folks,

some Klingon stuff:

KLINGON RIGHT OF VENGEANCE

Interrupt, common.
If any Klingon is killed in an away team battle, all other Klingons present may immediately re-attack with double STRENGTH.
"Under Klingon law, Lieutenant Worf claimed right of vengeance against Duras in 2367."
Uh, that wording is a little confused. Actually, if I only had the lower half of this card I'd say it must be an event. Yep, it doesn't say I have to play this upon the Death of a Klingon and it does not say it goes away. (Sure, that's picky, but there are interrupts that linger around. Try Escape Pod for an example.)

But let's for this review assume it's intended as most people play it. When one of your Klingons is killed, you can reattack and double your STRENGTH. Great. So either you have a Federation team with Worf, K'Eleyhr and Alexander (which now at maximum gives you a 34 Str attack - not 38 as one of your Klingons just bit the dust), or you're playing Klingons in which case I don't understand how you ever got into a situation where one of your away team crew is killed in battle - don't you have enough STRENGTH ?

And what do you get off it even IF it works ? One opposing away team member killed. Battle probably continues next turn. You're probably still on the losing side. Your crew still dies.

Uh, so much for crap factor. Really, it does not do anything sensible.
